I love the (almost certainly unintentional, but still amusing) commentary on the failure of Globalism in this show. Earth achieves a global government, an idea championed by Globalists as the solution to war and fascism, and not only does it allow fascism to rise again twice, but it also leads to multiple bloody wars to dislodge it, eventually sending Earth back to the dark ages.

I'm gradually watching Babylon 5 to see what it's all about. Some of the episodes are rather preachy, but I suppose the writers had an awful lot of scripts to conjure up.

Which ep and season. I never saw this one. Babylon 5 still one of best. Too bad science fiction is not made like this anymore

Bugs Bunny in the matador costume would have been a better picture for Garibaldi. He plays the clown, makes you think you are in control until you realize too late you are sliding along his elaborate trap straight towards the pile of TNT he rigged to blow as soon as you reach it.

I always thought it was sad that Sherridan got so few of the truly memorable lines in this show. But it's hard to argue with giving Garibaldi the lines since he was a follower of the Egyptian God of Frustration.

That guy missed a vital clue right near the beginning. He orders the system to shut down and reprogram Garibaldi... and yet nothing happens. Our boy had *already* taken control of the system and Mr. Nazi here was too arrogant to even realize it.

What I love about this is similar to stories I've seen in other multi-forms across differing entertainment. It basically comes down to never mess with a Legend, even when they are dead. As it's likely to come back and hurt you in unexpected ways. They would not be legends otherwise.
